A project formed by Hirotaka Izumi (p) and Naganori Sakakibara (g), Duo LIBRA's first album. This work creates a transparent sound by playing popular songs and original tracks from the T-SQUARE
era through solo piano and guitar performances.Duo LIBRA was a collaboration between two prominent Japanese musicians:Hirotaka Izumi (Piano): Renowned former pianist of the legendary Japanese jazz-fusion band T-SQUARE.Naganori Sakakibara (Acoustic Guitar): An accomplished solo artist and studio/live session guitarist.The two first crossed paths in 2006 during Izumi's trio tour in South Korea. Following collaborative work on Izumi's 2007 album Lights in a Distance, they toured extensively together and eventually formalized their blend of elegant piano and warm acoustic guitar into Duo LIBRA.
