2nd RELEASE..SCENERY (2023) is the second album by Ortance, a Japanese instrumental unit formed by Masayasu Tsuboguchi, Shudai Nishida, and Kazuya Oi. The 8-track album blends jazz, ambient, and modern production to create a sound described as techno made by human hands.
Ortance is a three-piece band that will be celebrating its 8th year in 2025, and is freely performing alternative club rock music. This is a live album featuring material from live performances at Omotesando WALL&WALL on November 24, 2024 and Shinjuku PIT INN on March 4, 2025. No clicks, no overdubbing, and a genuine live performance. The album is a 100% pure live performance by three outstanding players. The "now" of Ortance is captured on this album, as if the entire atmosphere of the venue is packaged together.

I HAVE ALREADY POSTED THE RELESE "SCENERY" FROM THEM BUT WILL REPOST IT...
In the live, the cover of Flying Lotus is also played, but now the album is all composed by Tzboguchi, and the classical sound structure of the acoustic piano as a core element is in the ensemble colored by the synthesizer .
Now, in the album, three people first enter the studio and record basic tracks such as piano & synth, guitar and drums. At that time, the idea of changing the concept of the beat is given everywhere, such as changing the tempo and returning the performance, and playing the music with the tempo changing in the first place.
Based on this sound source, ermhoi (Black Boboi) and Kiala (Kodäma) were invited to the vocals, and over 3 months Tzbguchi's own post-production mix was performed, and from Tokyo, european taste fragrant, stateless original music was born.

Before he was a founding member of the "progressively ambitious" metal band, MEGADETH, Chris Poland with Robertino Pagliari, Gar Samuelson (also of MEGADETH) and Stu Samuelson made up a popular, L.A. area fusion outfit named The New Yorkers. Today, Chris and Robby along with drummer Kofi Baker, go by OHM, and have gone on to create some of today's most electrifying jazz-fusion. A power trio of epic talent, beginning with Chris Poland, who is among the most unrecognized, yet tremendously gifted fusion players ever to hit the scene. His style is both technically complex, yet free and passionate. Utilizing a vast array of rack-mount effects, that never cloud, but instead supply a tonal plate to a true artist, he is able to make precise sonic U-turns that make you wonder how it can only be one person playing. Supporting this intense string-master, is Robertino Pagliari on bass guitar. Robby's rounded tone and head-spinning six-string runs, are every bit on par with Chris, and balance out the compositional mastery OHM is known for. Keeping the beat has been the job of two gifted drummers, formerly David Eagle, and now Kofi Baker (Son of Ginger Baker of CREAM). While one could classify OHM as a jazz-fusion band in the tradition of MAHAVISHNU ORCHESTRA, WEATHER REPORT, and BRAND X, these comparisons do little to describe the unique work of this Los Angeles trio.
His second record "Groove Warrior" (2004) on ESC Records, features another all-star lineup with Lalah Hathaway, Marcus Miller, Bernard Wright, JuJu House, Poogie Bell, Schuyler Deale, Booker King, and Patches Stewart, just to name a few.

Musician, composer, and producer Jeff Richman has many significant achievements to his name. He is regarded as one of the world’s preeminent fusion guitarists. Jeff Beck is atop the list of those who captured Richman’s imagination, and profoundly impacted his technical and improvisational growth. The iconic guitarist’s recent passing gives us pause to consider the indelible mark he made on rock, fusion, and a host of impressionable young guitarists. Richman is among a select few gifted and inspired pioneers who have continued to raise the bar and expand what has become the limitless boundaries of fusion. Richman’s vital and essential contributions to the genre are as well-documented as his glorious and masterful recordings and live performances.
After graduating from the prestigious Berklee School of Music in 1975, it soon became evident that Richman was to be a vast contributor to the advancement and evolution of fusion. He has held that prominent position at the table for nearly fifty years. Now, as an elder statesman, Richman continues to grow and pave the way with rich and dynamic new music. As a composer and certainly as a guitarist, a notable observation of Richman’s unique skill set is the depth of his articulation and his innate natural abilities to convey and communicate his stories.

AFTER 23 YRS FROM THE LAST RELEASE, THESE 2 JAPANESE GREAT JAZZ FUSION GUITARISTS ARE BACK.
After 23 years, their sounds intersect once again. The acoustic guitar duo of Koji Masuzaki and Koichi Yabori creates rich scenes of silence and blank spaces. The album "TOKI" is a work that quietly expands into a delicate and beautiful "season of sound" that encapsulates the changing time and emotions of the four seasons in Japan in 10 songs.
