m.s.t. -PIANIUM [2017] ep LOSSLESS

 


 The first mini album by pianist Shoko Mochiyama and bassist Naoki Koyama, m.s.t. (Make the Scenery Tune ~Sound in the Scenery~)!


 Started activities in 2011.

The original songs, which are themed around small everyday events, have resonated with the audience with their lyrical and thrilling developments. It is a unique arrangement based on classical music by two music college graduates, and also performs jazz standards and film scores. So far, "m.s.t." As the album "time of doze", "predawn ~connected with the scenery~", "Pianium", "Green and wind", "Visionarium" as the seven-member "m.s.t.Arcus Orchestra" (piano, bass, drums, violin, trumpet, trombone & vocals, vibraphone & percussion), He released a collaboration album with vocalist Sara Rector "You Are Loved" and received favorable reviews.

At the International Composition Competition (ISC) 2015, "Karkinos" (from "predawn" was selected as a finalist). "Green and Wind" won the New Star Award at the Jazz Life DISC GRAND PRIX 2017 Jazz Album of the Year. As special guests, he has also successfully performed live with Akira Jimbo (Drums) and NAOTO (Violin)
